Networking

Joining a Chamber of Commerce can be an enormous resource for small businesses. It is a great way to get involved in your community and expand your network. You can build connections through events and meetings that will benefit you both personally and professionally. Even those gatherings that seem to have no purpose other than getting together serve a purpose. They are important for establishing and maintaining business relationships. We invite you to attend one of our networking events and take advantage of the opportunities below to help build connections!

Networking Opportunities

Business PM

Hosted by the Chamber Members on a first come first serve basis. These are casual gatherings to feature a new business in town or to showcase something your business has to offer. Typically, light refreshments are served.

Ribbon Cuttings

Ribbon Cuttings aren’t just for groundbreaking ceremonies anymore. We celebrate many businesses that have reached important milestones. Some have added another location, remodeled, changed ownership or added new partnerships or had an anniversary. Whatever the reason, we want to help you celebrate! Contact the chamber office if you are interested.

Event Committees

We have many different event committees that you can participate and get involved in. If time doesn’t permit you to join one of our committees, we are always in need of volunteers at these events!

  • Chamber Golf Outing
  • Chamber Annual Meeting
  • Cheese Days Committee
  • Christmas Parade
  • First City Days
  • Abby Festival

Continuing Education

We partner with outside organizations and schools to offer learning opportunities about topics that are important to you and your business. If you have a topic idea, please reach out to us, we’d love to hear them!

Annual Meeting Banquet

This is one of those nights where we all get together to talk, laugh, network and catch-up. You will also learn about what the chamber and businesses have accomplished over the past year. We will honor the Business of the Year and the Citizen of the Year this night as well. Businesses will have an opportunity to nominate for each category ahead of time.
